One of The Whistler’s editors was glad to hear that B & H councillors have approved proposals to give the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company a 60-year lease to operate the Art Deco Grade 2 listed pool. Colette’s grandfather, Louis Napoleon Kelly, was one of the engineers who built it in 1937, and she spent many a happy summer day there in the 1960s when it was a thriving meeting and leisure centre.
