Food and fashion, cultural life and life downstairs, interiors and townscapes – the Regency Society Weekend looks at society during the Regency period, especially as it affected Brighton. It celebrates the bicentenary of the first full year of the Regency in Great Britain, its colonies and Hannover. It also celebrates the centenary of Antony Dale, born in 1912, founder of the Regency Society six decades ago and author of many works, including Fashionable Brighton.
